Welcoming Saul to the Team

We are excited to introduce Saul Aviles, the mechanic keeping tools and equipment running here at Landesign! He says, "After working for wineries and other landscape companies over the last seven years, I was able to find a workplace that I really enjoy. Landesign gave me the opportunity to perform my mechanical skills to landscape equipment".

In his free time, he loves to spend time with his family at the coast and walking along the beach. We are thankful to be working with Saul, and for all he contributes to the team!

Welcoming Our New Client: American AgCredit Headquarters and St. Helena Office

American AgCredit was founded in 1916 and specializes in financial services to agricultural and rural customers through its 32 branch offices throughout the Western and Midwestern states.

The landscaping of their new 120,000 SF headquarters located near the Sonoma County Airport, consists of low-maintenance and drought-tolerant grasses and native oaks. Two buildings wrap around a landscaped courtyard which creates an inviting space for employees and visitors to enjoy a meal from the café on site.

This new development won the 2016 North Bay Business Journal's Top Project Award. Per NBBJ, sustainability and energy-efficiency were top concerns, and the resulting office building exceeds U.S. Green Building Council LEED requirements for gold-level certification. National Lawn Care Month

April is National Lawn Care Month! Lawns have an amazing impact on our environment, from reducing run-off to keeping the landscape cooler. We are working hard to keep your lawns green and happy as summer approaches by fertilizing, spraying for weeds, and assessing and repairing irrigation systems.

Fun facts about the benefits of lawns:
  • 1 acre of grass produces more oxygen than 1 acre of rain forest
  • Lawns can be 30 degrees cooler than a blacktop driveway
  • An average size golf course absorbs 4 million gallons of water & significantly reduces run-off
