North Coast Water Update

Recent California mandatory water conservation measures are hitting home! Since efforts to reduce water conservation by 20% have not been met, state and local officials adopted new regulations effective Juiy 28 and extending into 2015 to reduce water consumption statewide. See below for the conservation requirements and visit the Conservation Regulation Portal for more information.

What we can do!

Most water-use customers expend 30-60% or more of their water outdoors according to the State Water Resources Control Board. This leaves ample room for us to improve and reduce the ways outdoor water is used on our properties.

Below is a list of possible prohibited activities proposed by the water board to be aware of. Hefty fines are proposed for violators of these provisions.

1. Outdoor watering that leads to runoff onto neighboring properties, walkways, or other paved surfaces

2. Potable water used for application to any hard surface (washing sidewalks, patios or driveways)

3. Washing of vehicles using a hose without a shut-off valve or nozzle

4. Potable water used for decorative fountains or water features that do not have recirculation

Landesign can review your current water usage and provide helpful suggestions to remain in compliance. Call us at 578-2657 for details.
