Landesign C & M is pleased to have played a part in Hansel's new and exciting state-of-the art BMW Center. The design and construction of this 21.3 million project was focused on using green construction techniques and materials where possible. In that same spirit, Landesign C & M inc. used inline drip irrigation to minimize water run-off and maximize availability for the plants. Smart Controllers and Rain Sensors were implemented to maximize adequate watering with minimal cost.
Drought tolerant plants were used throughout the landscape and "no mow" grasses were used in conjunction with bio-retention swales which allow water to be trapped on site and diverted back into the ground instead of the storm drain. In turn, this replenishes the water table. In addition, these grasses require less water and the lack of necessary mowing reduces the carbon footprint. It's what we call a win-win!
